A head-on collision in Escambia County left two children and a Pensacola man seriously injured on Friday afternoon, according to FHP.
Troopers say the incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. on Lillian Highway, just east of Carondelay Drive when a 28-year-old Pensacola woman driving a Mazda sedan failed to observe stopped traffic.
In an attempt to avoid a collision, she swerved into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on crash with a Chevy sedan, according to FHP.
The Mazda driver sustained minor injuries, while her passengers, an 11-year-old boy and a 6-year-old boy, both from Pensacola, suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the Chevy, a 35-year-old Pensacola woman, also sustained minor injuries. Her passenger, a 53-year-old Pensacola man, was seriously injured.
