28-year-old Crestview man dead following crash in Okaloosa County

A 28-year-old Crestview man has died following a motorcycle crash in Okaloosa County early Sunday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 2:42 a.m., the motorcyclist was traveling north on State Road 85 approaching the ramp to merge onto State Road 123.

FHP says the driver lost control of his vehicle and drove off the roadway.

Trying to gain control of the motorcycle, the driver reportedly overcorrected then hit the guard rail.

FHP says the vehicle overturned and came to a final rest lying on its side blocking both lanes of traffic.
