A teenager was killed after being struck by a pick-up truck in Manatee County on Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
At around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, a pickup was traveling south on US 301, south of Prosperity Lakes Boulevard, driven by a 31-year-old Wimauma man.
The 19-year-old victim was also in the southbound lane, FHP said.
The front of the pickup struck the young man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP said the crash is under investigation.
Neither the victim nor the driver has been identified by authorities.
