3-year-old boy shot, injured in Brevard County, deputies say

A 3-year-old was shot and injured Monday in Mims, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the shooting happened in the 4000 block Aurantia Road.

Deputies are investigating what was reported as “an accidental shooting with a 3-year-old boy,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The boy was taken to an Orlando hospital and was in stable condition, deputies said Monday.

Details about the shooting have not been released.
