St. Augustine motorcyclist dies after bike leaves roadway, overturns on State Road A1A

A 62-year-old man died on Thursday afternoon after his motorcycle ran off a roadway and overturned, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to FHP, the incident happened in Flagler County as the biker was heading south along State Road A1A just before 1 p.m.

The agency said the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The reason for the crash remains under investigation, FHP said.
