BSO investigating after woman found shot to death in Oakland Park

Authorities are investigating after a woman was found shot to death in Oakland Park on Thursday afternoon.

The shooting was reported shortly before 2 p.m. near the 2700 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard.

Deputies responded and found a woman who was suffering from a gunshot wound, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said.

The woman, whose identity wasn’t released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed multiple BSO vehicles parked outside a shopping plaza, including a Forensic Response Unit truck.

Deputies could be seen entering and exiting a business.

BSO’s crime scene and homicide detectives are investigating.
