Driver killed in Orange County crash after car runs off ramp, troopers say

A woman was killed in a crash early Sunday in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 5:13 a.m. in the ramp from State Road 453 to northbound State Road 429, troopers said.

According to an FHP crash report, the 24-year-old Lake Mary woman was driving a 2018 Honda Accord and failed to negotiate the ramp’s curve while traveling above the posted speed limit.

The Honda ran off the roadway as a result, striking a concrete overpass support, the report states.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. She was wearing her seat belt during the crash, according to the report.

FHP is still investigating.
