A woman was transported to a hospital Thursday morning after she was stabbed in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the stabbing was reported at 8:43 a.m. in the area of Northwest 172nd Street and 94th Court.

Deputies arrived at the scene and found a woman laying on the ground, suffering from what appeared to be at least one stab wound, authorities said.

Deputies said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported her to a local hospital in stable condition.

According to deputies, the person who stabbed the victim is known to her and fled the scene after the attack.

“We do not know the relationship or any familial ties at this time,” an MDSO spokesperson told Local 10 News in an email.
