Pasco firefighters rescue adult, child trapped in burning home

Two people were airlifted to the hospital after being trapped in a home caught on fire, the Pasco County Fire Rescue announced.

Crews were called to a home on the 9000 block of Runaway Breeze Drive in Land O’ Lakes around 4 a.m.

The call reported that people were trapped inside the burning home, PCFR said.

Crews arrived and found heavy smoke coming from the two-story house.

According to PCFR, firefighters were able to enter the home and rescue an adult and a child.

The adult and child were airlifted to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
