A crash Thursday morning on Jacks Branch Road in Escambia County killed a 64-year-old woman on a bike.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. just south of Nowak Dairy Rd.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Honda sedan driven by a Pensacola woman was traveling north on Jacks Branch Road, while a bicyclist was also traveling north on Jacks Branch Rd.
“Due to unknown reasons at this time, the black Honda sedan collided with the rear of the bicycle, resulting in a crash,” FHP says in a release.
The bicyclist — a 64-year-old Cantonment woman — was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating this incident.
