A collision in Hobe Sound left a van embedded in a two-story apartment building, prompting immediate evacuations and structural assessments to ensure residents’ safety.
Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR) said that they responded to a van that had crashed into the porch of a two-story wooden apartment building in the 8300 block of SE Croft Circle at 5:30 p.m.
According to MCFR, the impact of the van hitting the building resulted in possible damage to a corner bearing wall.
Officials said that they evacuated residents, secured power to the building, and brought in a structural engineer to evaluate the building’s safety.
No injuries were reported from this crash.
