A man was taken to the hospital Tuesday night after he was struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene, Fort Lauderdale police said.
According to police, the pedestrian was struck by the vehicle around 9:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Northwest 19th Street, just west of Interstate 95 near Atlantic Tech College.
Police said officers arrived at the scene and found the injured victim.
He was transported to Broward Health Medical Center as a trauma alert.
A description of the vehicle was not immediately released.
