Police are investigating a double shooting in West Palm Beach that claimed one person’s life and left another hospitalized on Thursday night.
The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) said that officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert on the 1400 block of 13th Street, near Gaines Park, at around 11:20 p.m.
Upon their arrival, police reported finding two people with gunshot wounds.
According to WPBPD, one of the victims was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, and the other victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said that the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
