Woman dies in late night I-4 crash: Florida Highway Patrol

An Orlando woman died after a crash on I-4 in Tampa Sunday night, the Florida Highway Patrol announced.

Troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes of I-4 near the Seminole Hard Rock Casino around 10:50 p.m.

A Honda Civic driven by a 16-year-old from Plant City was traveling on I-4 in the eastbound lanes when the driver lost control of the vehicle, rotated to the shoulder, and collided with a concrete barrier wall and stopping in the I-4 lanes.

A Toyota Corolla, driven by a 20-year-old Orlando woman, was traveling on I-4 and collided with the Honda Civic before stopping in the median. FHP said.

According to the FHP, a Toyota Camry, driven by a 24-year-old Lakeland man, was traveling on I-4 when he saw the Honda Civic in the travel lanes and took action, beginning to rotate and collided with the Orlando woman who had gotten out of her car, and then hit a median barrier.

The Orlando woman died at the scene of the crash.
