West Palm Beach Police are currently investigating a shooting near the Bak Middle School of Arts, which claimed one life.
The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) said that they were alerted by the school board police at 8:20 a.m. of a shooting that occurred in the 4100 block of Haden Avenue.
According to WPBPD, when officers arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound and attempted life-saving measures; unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
WPBPD said that the shooting is unrelated to the school and the investigation is ongoing.
