A car collided with an electric bike Thursday morning in Escambia County, critically injuring the two people on the bike — a 31-year-old man and a 4-year-old girl.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. on Gulf Beach Highway near Bauer Road.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the car — driven by a 21-year-old Pensacola woman — was traveling east on Gulf Beach Highway, approaching Bauer Road. Meanwhile, the electric bike was traveling west on Gulf Beach Highway.
FHP says the Pensacola woman failed to yield to traffic when making a left turn — resulting in a head-on collision with the electric bike.
