Two people made a daring escape after their vehicle plunged into a canal on Thursday.
According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR), at about 12:30 p.m., crews responded to Hypoluxo and Haverhill Road after they had received reports about a car in a canal.
Upon firefighters’ arrival, they found a partially submerged vehicle and learned that both vehicles had gotten out. Crews had also learned that bystanders helped one person escape the vehicle.
Rescue divers checked to make sure that there were no additional occupants and transported both patients to a local hospital.
