Men ages 21 and 19 critically injured in rollover crash on Okaloosa Island

Two men were critically injured in a crash early Friday morning on Okaloosa Island.

It happened around 12:40 a.m. on Highway 98 near Gulf National Sea Shore Drive.

According to FHP, a GMC Yukon was traveling east when the vehicle’s left-side tires left roadway and entered the sandy shoulder. The driver — a 21-year-old Fort Walton Beach man — attempted to re-enter the roadway, but the vehicle overturned.

The driver and his passenger — a 19-year-old Crestview man — both suffered critical injuries.
