A 32-year-old Daytona Beach man was killed Sunday evening when his motorcycle collided with the back of a pickup truck that was hauling a boat trailer in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 9:16 p.m. on International Speedway Boulevard near Educators Road.
According to a crash report, the motorcyclist hit the back of the boat trailer before running off the roadway into a grass median. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup truck driver, a 37-year-old DeLeon Springs man, and his passengers — a 45-year-old DeLeon Springs woman and two children — were uninjured.
An investigation is ongoing.
