30-year-old man arrested for West Gadsden Street shooting in Pensacola

A 30-year-old man was arrested for Sunday’s shooting on West Gadsden Street.

Pensacola Police identified RBas the shooting suspect. He’s been charged with the following.

  • attempted murder
  • possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • felony criminal mischief

The shooting occurred around 6 a.m. on Sunday. Officers responded to gunshots that were heard in the area of West Gadsden Street. The city’s ShotSpotter system provided deputies with an exact location.

When officers arrived, they found one adult was injured. Their injuries were non-life-threatening. According to police, the victim is still in “stable condition.”

B is in Escambia County Jail on $200,000 bond.
