Man dies after late-night shooting in northwest West Palm Beach

A shooting northwest of downtown West Palm Beach on Wednesday night resulted in a death.

The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) said that officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 800 block of 7th Street, which was detected by a ShotSpotter system around 10:45 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers reported finding a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to WPBPD, the victim was transported to a hospital but did not survive his injuries.

Authorities said that the investigation into the shooting is still ongoing, and they are seeking additional information.
