The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night in Middleburg.
The shooting was reported near Knight Boxx Road and Blanding Boulevard. The Sheriff’s office posted to its Facebook page just after 11 p.m. that it was in the early stages of the investigation.
Officials are expected to provide an update when more information is available. The Sheriff’s Office is asking the community to be careful in the area because of road and parking lot closures.
