Firefighters responded to a fire that ignited a home at 3680 20th Ave. NE in Golden Gate Estates on Monday afternoon.
According to the North Collier Fire Rescue District, several crews, including Greater Naples Fire, are on the scene, and a second alarm was called at 1:45 p.m. The second alarm was called due to water supply issues as water tenders were used, and due to modifications to the home and the heat index on Monday.
Fire officials said there are no reports of injuries and no confirmed cause. According to the North Collier Fire, there were pets in the home, and an official is working to confirm their status, but it is believed they have been accounted for. The home is uninhabitable, according to officials.
North Collier Fire said the Red Cross has been contacted for the family. The team helped coordinate emergency aid to nine people impacted by the fire, including four children.
The Red Cross will provide emergency financial assistance, health and mental health services, and one-on-one support to connect people to available recovery assistance.
The Immokalee Fire Control District also responded, according to fire officials.
