The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash Monday morning on Florida’s Turnpike that involved a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office patrol car.
Cellphone video taken from a witness shows that the vehicle crashed head-on into a wall off the side of the southbound lanes of the Turnpike, just before Mile Marker 10.
Traffic on the Turnpike was reportedly backed up to Exit 12, for Caribbean Boulevard.
The right shoulder was blocked after the crash.
No other details were immediately released.
