An elderly woman was killed, and two others are in serious condition after a Sunday afternoon car crash in Boca Raton.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), at 5:37 p.m., a man in a Hyundai was driving westbound on Yamato Road in the left turn lane at the intersection of Lakeridge Blvd.
A Toyota traveling eastbound in the outside lane on Yamato Road approached the intersection when the Hyundai turned into its path, striking the front passenger-side corner.
The three passengers involved were transported to Delray Community Hospital, and the Hyundai passenger, 84-year-old Marina Villalobos, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
