A Lamborghini driver and his passenger were killed early Friday in a two-vehicle crash on State Road 528 in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The double-fatal crash happened around 2:15 a.m. on S.R. 528 east near Orangewood Boulevard, south of Orlando. All eastbound lanes of the Beachline are closed in the area, the FHP said.
According to troopers, preliminary evidence shows that a 41-year-old Kissimmee man was driving a 2020 Lamborghini Huracan east on S.R. 528 in the center outside lane and failed to stop for a Ford F-550 that was also eastbound.
The front of the Lamborghini struck the back of the truck, and the Kissimmee man and his passenger, a 41-year-old Windermere man, were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, the FHP said.
The driver of the truck, a 58-year-old Altamonte Springs man, was not injured and remained at the scene, according to troopers.
An investigation is ongoing.
