A 35-year-old Pensacola man was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck on Sunday morning in Escambia County.
Troopers say the incident occurred around 2:27 a.m. when the man was driving a pickup truck eastbound on County Road 196 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of a southbound semi truck on US-29.
The semi-truck, driven by a 54-year-old Pensacola man, collided with the front right area of the pickup truck, according to FHP.
Troopers say the driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
The semi-truck driver sustained minor injuries, according to FHP.
The investigation is ongoing.
