Man, woman found dead in apparent murder-suicide, Tampa police say

A man and woman were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in a neighborhood off Bayshore Boulevard on Tuesday.

Tampa police officers were called to the 2400 block of West Texas Avenue at 12:54 p.m.

They found a man and a woman deceased when they arrived, according to a police department news release.

Police believe the man shot the woman before dying from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Investigators said early information indicates the man and woman were in a relationship.

No further details were provided about the incident, but police said it appears to be isolated and there is no threat to the public.

“Detectives are continuing to gather evidence to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident,” the news release said.
