Car crashes into San Carlos Park fire vehicle Wednesday morning

One person is injured after a car crashed into a San Carlos Battalion Chief fire vehicle in Fort Myers on Wednesday morning.

According to the San Carlos Fire Rescue District, a battalion chief fire engine with lights and sirens on was responding to a structure fire call at around 11:20 a.m.

SCFRD said that the truck was traveling through Alico Road and Ben Hill Griffin Parkway when a car crashed into the vehicle in the middle of the intersection.

SCFRD said that the occupant of the car sustained minor injuries, and the battalion chief did not sustain any injuries.
