A pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday night in a hit-and-run crash in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened before 8 p.m. on E. Colonial Drive near State Road 436, or N. Semoran Boulevard.
Troopers said a 38-year-old Orlando man walked into the path of an oncoming vehicle that was heading east on Colonial Drive. He was not in a marked crosswalk.
The man was struck and then taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The FHP said there is currently no information on the driver or the vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to call FHP at *347 or Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
An investigation is ongoing.
