A 50-year-old Orlando man was killed Wednesday evening in a motorcycle wreck near Orlando International Airport, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 6:20 p.m. on Wetherbee Road near Airport Park Drive in Orange County.
According to a crash report, the motorcyclist was heading west on Wetherbee Road when a 2014 Nissan Rogue heading east attempted a left turn onto Airport Park Drive.
The rider tried to switch lanes to avoid the SUV, but troopers said the right side of the vehicle collided with the front of the motorcycle.
The driver, a 60-year-old Orlando woman, had minor injuries.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation is ongoing.
