Flames tore through the roof of a two-story apartment building in Opa-locka Friday morning.

Sky 10 was above the scene in the 2100 block of Ali Baba Avenue around 9:30 a.m. as smoke was still coming from the building.

A large hole could be seen in the roof.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials confirmed that they have shifted their efforts to a “defensive attack, due to a compromise on the second story of the structure.”

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains unclear at this time.
