61-year-old woman killed in hit-and-run in St. Pete

 A woman was killed late Friday night in a hit-and-run in a St. Petersburg neighborhood, the police department said.

The 61-year-old was walking across Dartmoor Street North, near the intersection with Joyce Terrace North, at around 11:30 p.m. when she was struck by an unknown vehicle.

The driver kept going without stopping to call 911 or render aid, and police said the woman died from her injuries.

SPPD has yet to identify the victim, and no other information was shared about the incident.
