The Ocala police department said a fatal crash occurred Saturday morning on the westbound lanes near the 4200 block of East Silver Springs Boulevard.

The crash involved a motorcycle and a car.

Police say the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but they have since died.

All lanes have been opened, and the crash is under investigation.
