Husband and wife get into argument after returning home from Taco Bell

Husband and wife get into argument after returning home from Taco Bell

A Leesburg man was arrested for battery after allegedly hitting his wife in the face and pushing her to the ground during an argument.

An officer responded to a battery at an undisclosed Leesburg residence around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Dispatch advised that 36-year-old ADK threw his wife on the ground and struck her in the face.

Upon arrival, the officer found the wife outside in front of the residence. She had gone to Taco Bell with K, and they got into an argument when they got home. He struck her in the face, causing her to get upset, the report said.

She got out of the vehicle and slammed the passenger door into a deep freezer, damaging the vehicle. He went to look at it, got upset and pushed her to the ground. She immediately separated herself from him and called the authorities, the report said.

K gave the same story but denied pushing her, the report said. He advised that there was a camera in the carport that recorded the incident and would prove she fell. However, the footage showed he pushed her after confronting her about the damage. Seeing this, he said, “Well, I guess I did push her.”

The wife sustained injuries to the right inner portion of the palm of her right hand and her left ankle from the push. She also had a small scratch on the right side of her face from when he hit her, the report said.

K was arrested on charge of simple battery (domestic). The Michigan native was transported to Lake County Jail and released after posting $1,000 bond.
