Man dead, another in custody after stabbing at park in NW Miami-Dade: Sheriff

A man was killed and another was in custody after a stabbing at a park in northwest Miami-Dade on Tuesday, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the stabbing happened around 9:45 a.m. at Arthur Woodard Park, located at 1220 Northwest 99th Street.

Deputies said that the man who was stabbed was found unresponsive near some gym equipment and died at the park.

Chopper6 hovered over the area, where deputies gathered around what appeared to be a tarp. As deputies continued to investigate, the park was completely closed off with tape.

Witnesses told deputies that they saw a man running away from the scene, which helped them track him down.

The man was then taken into custody.

The identities of the victim and subject weren’t released.
