Fire damages two-story home in Escambia County, no injuries reported

A fire in Escambia County damaged a two-story home on Tuesday morning.

Officials say the incident took place in the 6300 block of Lake Charlene Terrace at 8:53 a.m.

Escambia County Fire Rescue arrived at the scene to find an active fire originating from the garage of the two-story house.

ECFR managed to bring the fire under control by 9:40 a.m. and fully extinguished it by 9:49 a.m., according to officials.

No injuries or fatalities were reported.

Officials say the home can be made livable again with repairs.

An investigation by ECFR determined that the fire was caused by an electrical issue inside the garage.
