Deputies say impairment led to a deadly Sunday night crash after a 30-year-old Palm Beach Gardens woman slammed into a traffic signal pole on Old Dixie Highway.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), at around 8 p.m. Sunday, 30-year-old Nicole Currivan was driving northbound on Old Dixie Highway when her car veered and struck a concrete curb at the intersection of Northlake Boulevard in Lake Park.
Deputies say the car continued northbound through the intersection and collided with a traffic signal pole in the corner of the intersection.
Impairment was determined by investigators to be the leading cause of the crash.
Currivan succumbed to her injuries 30 minutes after the crash, per deputies.
