A woman was arrested on Monday after two separate incidents in Miami, where she’s accused of vandalizing a car at an apartment complex and slapping a student at her former high school, authorities said.
AJ, 18, was charged with criminal mischief and burglary with assault or battery.
According to an arrest report, on May 21, J went to the Kline Nunn Apartments and started throwing eggs at a 2017 Maserati Levante, and also threw a brick at the car, causing around $20,000 in damage.
A witness who was in the area saw the incident and was able to pick out Joseph from a photo lineup, the report said.
The owner of the car, the report said, had a surveillance camera that took pictures of J, and he recognized her as his girlfriend’s niece, the report said.
Months later, on Oct. 6, J visited Miami Northwestern Senior High School, and she ran towards a victim and slapped her several times, the report said. The victim was reportedly walking to her class when she was attacked.
J graduated from Northwestern back in June.
Camera footage, the report said, captured Joseph walking in front of the school and then going toward the victim in the hallway.
Following the attack, a school employee saw the altercation and verbally confronted J, and she left the school, the report said.
J was arrested on Monday after she surrendered herself at the Miami-Dade Public School Headquarters.
After signing her Miranda warning, the report said, J told authorities that there was a verbal altercation with the victim at the school, but she denied slapping her. She also said she didn’t know the victim.
Joseph was then taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
