Motorcyclist killed in crash with pickup on Old Lake Wilson Road in Osceola County

A 37-year-old Davenport man was killed Tuesday afternoon when his motorcycle was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Osceola County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal wreck happened around 5:05 p.m. on Old Lake Wilson Road at Sinclair Road.

The FHP said the man was operating a 2025 Zhilong motorcycle south in the right turn lane on Old Lake Wilson Road.

A 2022 Dodge Ram 2500 hauling a trailer was northbound on Old Lake Wilson Road in the left turn lane, according to troopers.

The driver of the pickup, a 22-year-old Eustis man, made a left turn onto Sinclair Road when the motorcycle traveled through the intersection from the turn lane and into the direct path of the truck, an FHP crash report stated.

The motorcycle struck the pickup, and the Davenport man was taken to AdventHealth Celebration, where he was pronounced dead, the FHP said.

The Eustis man was not injured and remained at the scene, the crash report stated.

An investigation is ongoing.
