19-year-old Geneva man killed in wreck on SR-46 in Seminole County

A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash on State Road 46 in Seminole County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The fatal wreck happened around 9:50 a.m. on State Road 46 at Swamp Lane near Geneva.

The FHP said the 19-year-old Geneva man was riding a 2012 Harley-Davidson west on S.R. 46, and a 2016 Kia Sedona driven by a 43-year-old Sanford woman was stopped on the road, facing west at the intersection of Swamp Lane.

The woman made a U-turn from the right turn lane and entered the direct path of the Harley, which struck the left side of the minivan, according to an FHP crash report.

The man was taken to HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, troopers said.
