Panama City Beach investigating early morning traffic death

An early morning traffic crash turned deadly Saturday.

Panama City Beach police responded to a call at around 3:30 a.m.

Police say the single-vehicle crash happened in front of Alvin’s Island on Thomas Drive.

Early indications show the motorcycle was going eastbound when it struck a curb for an unknown reason and ejected the driver.

The driver sustained serious head trauma and was pronounced dead once first responders arrived.

The crash is still under investigation, according to Panama City Beach Police.
