Police ask for witnesses to come forward after 2 men shot early Sunday morning outside Jacksonville bar

Two men were wounded early Sunday morning in a shooting outside Tipsy Bar & Grill on Edgewood Avenue South, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO said officers responded around 3:40 a.m. to the parking lot of the bar and found a man in his 30s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was rushed to a hospital and was last listed in critical condition.

Police said another man in his 30s arrived at the hospital on his own shortly after.

Investigators confirmed he was also involved in the same shooting incident and is now in stable condition.

JSO said a large crowd was outside the bar in the parking lot after closing time when a fight broke out and shots were fired. Police said the crowd quickly broke up, and they’re asking for witnesses to come forward to help identify the shooter or shooters.

Anyone with information is asked to call 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
