70-year-old Pensacola woman critically injured in collision at Hwy 29 intersection

A 70-year-old Pensacola woman was critically injured in a crash Friday afternoon in Escambia County.

It happened around 3:20 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 29 and Highway 97 in Molino.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 70-year-old woman was traveling north on Highway 29 in her SUV in the left turn lane when she failed yield to oncoming traffic and initiated a left turn. An oncoming SUV driven by a 46-year-old Pensacola man then collided with the right side of her vehicle.

The man suffered minor injuries, while the woman was critically injured.
