Motorcyclists seriously injured in Brevard County hit-and-run crash

The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver who fled from a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist and his passenger in Brevard County overnight.

According to FHP, the crash happened around 12:17 a.m. on State Road 520 near Clearlake Road. Troopers said an unknown gray sedan and a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle crashed, and the sedan fled the scene. The motorcycle rider and passenger, a 55-year-old Cocoa man and a 54-year-old Merritt Island woman, were both transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

FHP said the hit-and-run vehicle may be a gray Hyundai sedan, and it should have heavy front-end damage, including possibly missing the front grill, fog lights and much of the front bumper.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call FHP at *347 or CrimeLine at 1-800-423-8477.
