The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday morning near a smoke shop.
According to authorities, deputies responded to the area of Northwest 27th Avenue and 45th Street shortly after 6 a.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert.
Deputies found the victim, identified only as an adult male, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Police said they have no information about the shooter or motive, however a Local 10 News crew was at the scene as a man and woman were placed in the back of deputy cruisers for questioning.
Crime scene markers were placed on the ground and the door of 461 Smoke Shop was open as detectives investigated.
No other details were immediately released.
