Two people on a motorcycle were killed after they collided with a vehicle in Deerfield Beach earlier this month, deputies said.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened on Oct. 18, near the 1200 block of South Powerline Road.
Deputies said that 65-year-old Douglass Hall was driving a Nissan Rogue on South Powerline Road when he tried to make a U-turn to go northbound on Powerline Road. As he attempted the U-turn, his car’s passenger side was struck by the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 21-year-old Simon Dias Do Dantos.
When BSO and fire rescue crews arrived at the scene, they took Santos and a juvenile passenger who was on the motorcycle to the hospital.
Santos had life-threatening injuries and died at the hospital, while the juvenile passenger was taken in critical condition and died on Oct. 25.
Hall and another passenger in the Nissan suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
