A crash involving a pedestrian Friday morning has part of John Young Parkway shut down in Orlando, according to police.

The crash has northbound and southbound lanes of JYP closed from Columbia Street to Orange Center Boulevard.

Police said drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and take an alternate route.
