A person was hospitalized after a crash on the Palmetto Expressway Friday morning, according to authorities.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of State Road 826 near Ludlam Road. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said one person was taken by ground to a nearby trauma center after a vehicle struck a guardrail.
At one point two lanes were blocked.
Crews worked to clear the scene and reopen the affected lanes. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
