65-year-old bicyclist killed in Santa Rosa County crash

A 65-year-old Milton female bicyclist is dead after being struck by a pickup truck in Santa Rosa County on Friday morning.

Troopers say the incident occurred around 6 a.m. on US Highway 90 in Milton, near the intersection of Red Brick Road the bicyclist attempted to cross the highway from south to north and was hit by a westbound Toyota pickup truck driven by a 56-year-old Navarre man.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to FHP.

Troopers stated that the bicyclist was not wearing any reflective gear or a helmet.

The crash is under investigation.
